Detained & Deported

Well, as everyone has been asking for the full story as to how I managed to get both detained and deported in Manchester while en route to playing ball this season in England, here it is...   Deciding to go to England was obviously one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make.  After everything that happened with my ex and the trip to Vietnam and Cambodia which ensued, I really had to do weigh out all of my options, take all the various factors into consideration, and do what felt right.  I can't explain it to anyone, especially given the outcome, but I prayed, meditated, made...

Monks

While in Thailand and visiting a monastery, a burial ritual was explained to us... Whenever a monk passed away, a silver coin was placed under his tongue before cremation. After the process was finished, they would spread the ashes on the ground, and the other monks would sort thru the ashes, looking for the silver coin, as it was a symbol of good luck. But the point of the ceremony was to show that, no matter what physical things you attained in life, something as simple as a silver coin could not be taken with you...   Was nice to have things put into perspective and reminded of what...
